Dallasburg Baptist Church in Wheatley, Ky., is seeking a full-time Pastor of Youth.
Must have a growing personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Meet the biblical qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Possess a bachelor’s degree in related ministry field or working toward a seminary degree.
Must be available to fill this position in a full time capacity, with the ability to work flexible hours.
Some form of musical abilities is a plus.
We prefer that the candidate be married with healthy family relationships. However, we are seeking God’s man for this position and will consider single applicants as well.
Be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
Conduct organized services with the youth of DBC each week – Sunday School, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening Bible study.
Promote and participate in youth activities that provide spiritual growth and fellowship opportunities.
Visit local school campuses at appropriate times to develop relationships with students and school officials.
Counsel students and/or parents on issues relating to salvation, spiritual life, relationships, etc.
Plan and oversee youth camp and fundraising efforts (for both youth camp and general activities) with the help of the youth assistants.
Develop relationships with youth and their families, through visitation and fellowship, both inside and outside of a church setting.
Pulpit supply in the absence of the Senior Pastor.
Serve as a member of church council, budget committee, and other committees that arise to ensure that the youth ministry is considered when making decisions for the well-being of the church and its programs.
Prepare an annual youth budget for approval by the budget committee and the church.
Be responsible for the submission of mileage reports and receipts from expenses used for events, trips, and fellowship activities to ensure budget compliance.
Relationship to Senior Pastor
Be responsible and accountable through the senior pastor to the church.
Assist the senior pastor and deacons in hospital and other visitation for all members of the church/community.
