Central Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor who will provide spiritual and administrative leadership to our staff, ministry leaders, and congregation. This Man of God will proclaim, study, lead, and teach God’s word. As a Believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ, this individual will assist in leading others to know Christ, and grow in their faith personally and within the church.

Central Baptist Church is a community of believers who value Loving God and Others, Following Jesus, and Serving our Community. Our vision is to be a church where every disciple is a disciple maker. We strive to do this by equipping believers and seekers to study the gospel, worship Jesus Christ, and go out into the community to spread Love and God’s Word.
Central Baptist is located in the heart of Paris for over 73 years; allowing us to be in the heart of those people we serve. Our property includes our main church with green space, 27 acre fellowship property, and a newly-acquired home just two doors down. We hold corporate workshop with two services on Sunday morning, a Sunday evening service, and a Wednesday prayer meeting. Our average attendance on Sunday is 300. Central Baptist has an active children and youth group, along with several ministries to serve our people and community.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a degree from a Southern Baptist Seminary; holding at least a Master’s of Divinity. He should support and adhere to the current Baptist Faith & Message 2000. The Senior Pastor should have at least 5 years experience or comparable executive ministry experience. He should be fully committed to leading Central Baptist Church through an anticipated time of growth.
The ideal candidate will be a believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ is his personal savior and will set an example of Christian character in his dealings with others. As the shepherd of Central Baptist Church, he will occupy a position of trust, confidence, and leadership within our church and its members. As a man of Faith and Honor, he will serve his family by a healthy balance between home and church responsibilities.

Located in the middle of Thoroughbred horse country, Paris, Kentucky is the county seat of Bourbon County; positioned just 18 miles northeast of the city of Lexington. In 2018, the estimated population was 9,807 living in Bourbon County. Top employers include Central Motor Wheel of America, Toyota, Hinkle Construction, and Pizza Wholesale of Lexington, LLC. There are over 4,000 households with over 60% of those being family households. Our educational system offers both a city and county school serving Preschool through 12th grade.
